Upcoming Webinar: Always On – Email Collaboration in the Private Cloud

Partner Spotlight: Inova

Inova, one of the first email providers in Latin America, is a leading Zimbra service provider in Brazil. In 2008, Inova chose Zimbra as the best overall solution due to its open source culture, core functionality and potential. Since then, Inova has adopted and sold Zimbra solutions to its customers, small and mid-sized companies looking for hosting solutions as well as the government. Today, Inova has around 5,000 hosting customers, more than 15 hosting resellers and several government projects (on-premise), such as University of São Paulo, with more than 250,000 mailboxes, and OAB-SP (local bar association), with around 100,000 mailboxes.

Inova has experience integrating Zimbra to create custom solutions for its customers. Examples include Cloudmark (security) and mxHero (control and governance).

Tips for Working with Zimbra Support

Last month's newsletter included two tips for working with Zimbra Support. Here are a few more:

  1. Before making significant architectural and configuration changes to your Zimbra deployment, please feel free to ask our advice and let us know if you have a question about the documentation. We would much rather discuss these questions proactively upfront - before changes are made - than afterwards in a reactive or urgent break/fix mode. And as always, we welcome your feedback.
  2. Some of our telecom systems today use voicemail for rollover if we are unable to answer calls live. Please understand that all voicemails left with the Support telephone queues automatically open a high-priority case. As a best practice, it is a good idea to first open a detailed Service Request case through the Support Portal, and provide all technical details and debug data that's available (e.g., logs, screenshots, error messages). These details help facilitate the quickest resolution of the case. Then, follow up with a call if the situation is urgent. Please note, merging and improving the telecom systems is one of our highest priority projects.
