As new forms of social media proliferate and enterprises scramble to keep pace with their customers, social business is a force that cannot be ignored. Last year I compiled a list of several recommendations pertaining to social business that I encouraged the c-suite to focus on in 2012. Among the recommendations included focusing on social rank (not page rank) and taking heed to social becoming the new normal.
Now, as we enter the first week of 2013, there is once again a discernable feeling of anticipation for what the new year has in store. Last year witnessed some real progress being made in the social business sector, and this year looks to promise more of the same. So in the spirit of the new year, I thought this would be the ideal time to provide predictions for what I see in store for social business over the next 12 months:
